Job Description

Join NKT as our Quality Manager in Warszowice and become part of a global Quality organization supporting our Distribution Business Line. In this role, you will manage the local Quality function, coordinate strategic quality initiatives, and ensure compliance with customer requirements, international standards, and NKT’s quality management system.

As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the local Quality organization while partnering closely with the local Operational Team, as well as Global Quality teams. You will play a key role in building our quality culture and delivering sustainable improvements across the manufacturing site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the local Quality team
  • Overseeing the site’s quality strategy in line with Business Line and Group objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, applicable cable standards and product specifications, internal standards, and the company’s integrated management system based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Managing customer complaints, non-conformities, CAPA processes and root cause investigations using structured quality methodologies.
  • Monitoring and improving key quality KPIs, including customer complaints, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), audit performance and process stability.
  • Coordinating internal, customer, and Integrated Management System certification audits, while acting as an internal auditor, overseeing the local internal auditor team, actively supporting product certification audits in quality-related areas, and ensuring effective follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives by applying structured quality tools such as 8D, RCA, 5 Why, FMEA and Control Plans.
  • Overseeing site metrology processes, including calibration and verification of measuring and monitoring equipment, to ensure measurement reliability and compliance with applicable standards and internal requirements.
  • Identifying quality risks and implementing preventive actions to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Cooperating with global Quality teams to implement best practices and standardize processes.
  • Promoting a deep quality mindset throughout the organization by coaching managers and employees.

The role reports to the Quality Director, Distribution Business Line and works closely with both local management and international stakeholders.

To perform well in this position, you combine effective leadership with a structured approach and a focus on continuous improvement. You are comfortable working in an international matrix organization and thrive in an environment where collaboration and customer focus are essential.

We believe you have:

  • A university degree in Quality Management, Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience within Quality in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience leading and developing teams.
  • Solid knowledge of quality management systems based on ISO 9001, with familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 as part of an integrated management system.
  • Practical experience with quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, RCA, 5 Why, Ishikawa, CAPA, SPC and Control Plans.
  • Good understanding of metrology processes, including calibration, verification, and measurement system reliability.
  • Experience managing customer complaints, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Good understanding of ERP/QMS systems.
  • Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional English skills (minimum B2)
  • Fluent/Native Polish
