You will work closely with cable designers, production, quality, procurement, laboratory, and you will be part of the global R&D network in an environment connected to the green energy transition. Do you want to work close to both design, supply chain and factory while shaping material choices on site?

Contribute material knowledge across R&D and production
In this role, you provide material competence for new and existing cable designs, prototypes, root cause analyses and type testing activities. You ensure that materials meet performance, safety, and environmental requirements and are suitable for production. The position combines cross-functional collaboration on site and external work with certification organizations and raw-material suppliers, supporting both daily operational needs and longer-term material strategies.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • provide material knowledge and testing to verify products and manufacturing processes
  • manage material specifications in new and existing cable design in a global R&D function
  • coordinate validation of materials by organizing investigations and trial activities across site
  • support quality and production with material-related topics and troubleshooting
  • create and maintain documentation and regulatory compliance for materials

You will report to the site R&D Manager and work as part of a practical local R&D team, helping to shape and develop the team, while collaborating closely with the global network of material specialists across global R&D. The role is based at our site in Asnæs, with travel on an ad hoc basis as required.

Steady, collaborative professional with a business mindset
You work systematically and documentation-based, forming the basis for both technical support in a factory setting and strategic input to management. You approach tasks in a structured and methodical way, stay focused when priorities change, and collaborate effectively whether working with operators in production or senior stakeholders. You are comfortable making decisions within your area of responsibility. Curiosity, consistent delivery, and the ability to translate technical data into clear recommendations are essential in the role.

You also have:

  • a B.Sc. in material science, chemical engineering, process engineering or similar
  • experience working with polymers and metals in an industrial setting
  • knowledge of extrusion processes and material properties
  • experience with testing methods and applicable product standards
