Apply data science to real-world business challenges
As a Data Scientist, you will contribute to data-driven initiatives that improve performance and efficiency across NKT’s manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to clarify business needs, define success metrics, and deliver well-documented, maintainable solutions. Your work will support both ongoing and new digitalization efforts, helping shape the future of our operations.
Your responsibility will be to:
- Translate business needs into structured, data-driven problem statements
- Execute data science tasks from data preparation to model evaluation
- Communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to backlog refinement and agile project delivery
- Ensure responsible data use and compliance with privacy regulations
You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team and report to a senior leader.
Analytical thinker with a business-oriented mindset
We are looking for a person who enjoys solving complex problems and thrives in a collaborative environment. You are curious, communicative, and able to translate technical findings into actionable business insights. You value structure, clarity, and continuous learning, and you’re motivated by contributing to meaningful outcomes.
You also have:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Solid understanding of statistics, machine learning, and programming
- Experience applying Python and libraries like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn
- Familiarity with agile ways of working and backlog contribution
- Strong communication skills to present results clearly
- Awareness of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and MLOps principles
- Preferred: Experience applying data science in a manufacturing context
