As the Development Lead for Digital Commerce, you will direct a cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy an advanced, scalable, and modular e-commerce platform. Manage the development of an innovative e-commerce platform

As the Development Lead for Digital Commerce, you will be responsible for managing the development and deployment of a composable e-commerce solution based on commercetools, utilizing a headless and micro-service architecture. You will oversee a cross-functional development team, ensuring that all efforts align with business goals and technical requirements. Your role will involve close collaboration with Product Management, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements, project timelines, and deliverables. You will also mentor and support team members, building a collaborative development environment.

Your role will be to:

• Manage the development and deployment of a composable e-commerce solution based on commercetools.
• Oversee the work of a cross-functional development team, including backend, frontend, and integration developers.
• Ensure that all development efforts align with business goals and technical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and support team members, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.

This role is based in Chennai and involves coordinating and managing integrations with third-party services, particularly through the Boomi platform.

Experienced expert with experience in digital commerce

We are looking for a motivated and experienced supervisor who can inspire and guide a team of developers. You should have effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You should be a problem-solver, with the ability to solve complex issues and develop innovative solutions. Flexibility and collaboration are key, as you will be working in a complex, variable environment and will need to manage shifting tasks and technologies.

You also have:

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant experience (Master’s degree recommended).
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend technologies, particularly Java and Node.js.
• Experience with frontend development using React in a production environment.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing micro-service architectures and headless e-commerce solutions.
• Experience with commercetools or similar composable e-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with integration platforms like Boomi, and experience managing integrations with third-party services.
