Manager – Master Data Management Team

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of Master Data Stewards, Data Analysts, and Data Custodians, while building strong relationships with business-line data owners. You will act as the bridge between the business and data governance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

As the Manager of the Master Data Management Team, you will:

• Lead the team responsible for maintaining and improving master data across Operations, Finance, and Commercial domains.
• Establish and implement the organization’s Master Data Management strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Collaborate with business lines and data owners to ensure their needs are met while maintaining governance standards.
• Provide guidance and oversight to data owners in the business, ensuring they follow governance policies and perform their master data tasks effectively.
• Drive the development and adoption of tools, processes, and metrics to improve data quality and governance.
• Monitor and report on master data quality, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Act as a liaison between global stakeholders and the Master Data Management team, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
• Coordinate and/or support data-related projects to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• Expertise in SAP Master Data, preferably including S4 Hana.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of global master data.
• Skilled in coordinating data-related projects, ensuring timely and accurate execution of data initiatives.
• Expertise in managing changes to master data processes and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and improvements.
• Ability to engage with key stakeholders to understand their data requirements, challenges, and align data initiatives with business needs.
• Ensures master data governance follows global compliance standards and internal policies.
• Continuous improvement mindset to optimize master data processes and enhance data quality.
• Capable of resolving data-related challenges and mitigating risks associated with data inaccuracies.
• Ability to drive the long-term strategy for master data management to support business goals and future growth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
