Optimize sustainability impact across customer tenders

 In this role, you will analyse customer and tender documents to identify sustainability requirements and ensure all submissions meet both customer expectations and regulatory standards. You will act as the sustainability specialist for tenders, RFPs and RFQs, preparing accurate documentation and aligning all responses with NKT’s ESG policies and sustainability roadmap. Your work will help shape our sustainability value propositions and our competitive positioning in a rapidly evolving market.

Your responsibility will be to:

 • Identify sustainability requirements such as EPDs, circularity criteria and ESG documentation

 • Act as the sustainability expert supporting tenders, RFPs and RFQs

 • Prepare sustainability‑related documents and ensure tender compliance

 • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Sustainability teams

 • Monitor regulatory changes and benchmark competitor sustainability performance

This role is based in Chennai, India, with collaboration across global teams and reporting functionally to the Sustainability Manager, NKT Distribution, and locally to the Head of Technology, G3C.

You enjoy working with diverse stakeholders, think strategically, and are motivated by contributing to sustainable progress. You are approachable, open, and value an inclusive culture where everyone’s ideas matter.

You also have:

 • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science or a related field

 • 3+ years of experience in commercial roles, tender management or sustainability

 • Knowledge of sustainability regulations and standards such as EU Taxonomy, CSRD and EPDs

 • Solid analytical and organizational skills

 • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

 • Proficiency in MS Office
