Head of Project Execution Services

Shape efficient project execution across international energy projects

Do you want to help deliver critical energy infrastructure projects across Europe and beyond? As Head of Project Execution Services, you will oversee project procurement, document control, project support and contract management activities within NKT Grid Solutions Hub CEMEA. Develop project services for high-voltage cable projects

As Head of Project Execution Services, you will be responsible for the Project Services and Support function within Grid Solutions Hub CEMEA. You will manage teams covering project purchasing, document control, project support and contract management while ensuring consistent processes, governance and commercial awareness across project execution activities. The role works closely with project management, procurement, engineering, legal, finance and external partners to support efficient project delivery, improve ways of working and promote digitalisation across the organisation.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Manage and develop the Project Services and Support team across multiple disciplines
  • Implement and improve the Grid Solutions Project Execution Framework, standards and templates
  • Oversee project procurement processes and supplier engagement activities
  • Ensure effective contract management support, including change and claims administration
  • Establish document control standards, reporting routines and project governance processes

The position is based in Troisdorf/Köln and reports to Dr. Florian Krull, Director Large Project Execution. Travel of approximately 20–40 days per year is expected, primarily within Europe.

You are organised, commercially aware and comfortable balancing priorities while maintaining high standards. You value continuous improvement and contribute positively to an inclusive workplace where people with different backgrounds and perspectives can thrive.

You also have:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commercial Management, Law, Project Management or a related field
  • Several years of experience within project procurement, project services, contract management, project controls, document control or project management
  • Experience managing and developing teams within an international matrix organisation
  • Knowledge of procurement planning, supplier management, logistics and commercial project execution
  • Experience working with SAP, SharePoint, M-Files, Procore or similar project and document management systems
