
Senior Contract Manager
Manage complex contracts across large-scale energy projects
As a Senior Contract Manager, you will support large project execution by managing contracts, claims, risks, and contractual changes throughout the project lifecycle. This is an opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure projects that support the green transition while working within a global organisation. You will collaborate closely with project teams, legal specialists, and commercial stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and effective claim management. Oversee contract management and claims throughout projects
In this role, you will manage contractual matters from project award through execution and completion. You will review contract documentation, assess contractual obligations, manage claims and variations, and work closely with project managers and legal colleagues. The position requires collaboration across project execution, risk management, planning, procurement, and tendering functions to support commercial outcomes and contractual compliance.
Your responsibility will be to:
- Review contracts, offers, and negotiated agreements following project award
- Manage contractual deviations, changes, claims, and additional services
- Evaluate, document, and pursue contractual entitlements and defend against claims
- Work closely with project teams on project risks, opportunities, and contractual strategies
- Coordinate contract-related communication with customers, subcontractors, and legal teams
The position is based in Cologne, Germany. You will report to the VP, Head of Large Project Execution and work closely with project managers, contract managers, legal colleagues, and other project stakeholders. Travel may be required depending on project needs.

You also have:
- Completed university degree
- More than three years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with contract management and claim management
- Knowledge of project risk and opportunity management
- Experience working with complex contracts involving customers and subcontractors
