Design and deliver HTS cable solutions for the future
As a Senior Engineer Superconducting Cable Systems, you will take full technical responsibility for proposals and project documentation, with a focus on superconducting land cable systems. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful design and implementation of HTS solutions.
Your responsibility will be to:
- Analyze tenders for technical feasibility and clarify specifications with customers
- Design HTS cable systems including calculations and documentation
- Prepare technical documents for proposals and support technical negotiations
- Manage technical project execution including planning, documentation, and coordination
- Support sales with technical inquiries and prequalification processes
You will also guide junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing through training and documentation. The position is based in Cologne, with flexible working options available.
Experienced engineer with a passion for energy technology
You are a proactive and structured professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You enjoy taking responsibility, mentoring others, and driving innovation in complex technical projects. Your communication skills and adaptability help you navigate both internal and external interfaces with confidence.
You also have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in large-scale or high-voltage cable projects
- Experience in modeling and designing cable systems
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Project, SAP, COMSOL, MATLAB, and programming
