Head of Site Management S&M Projects

Ensure safe and efficient cable installation delivery

Join NKT Grid Solutions as Head of Site Management S&M Projects and play a key role in ensuring safe, standardised and efficient execution of high-voltage power cable installation projects across Europe. Working within an international organisation contributing to the green transition, you will support the development of people, processes and site operations while helping deliver critical energy infrastructure. Guide site operations across major energy projects

As Head of Site Management S&M Projects, you will be responsible for the site management function within Project Execution & Installation Management. You will oversee site execution activities, resource allocation, quality, HSE implementation and department development. The role combines people management, operational planning and continuous improvement, ensuring projects are staffed appropriately and delivered according to project requirements, quality standards and agreed timelines.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Manage allocation and deployment of Site Managers across projects
  • Ensure site execution, budget adherence and installation quality
  • Implement HSE requirements and QHSE reporting standards
  • Develop Site Managers through coaching, training and people management
  • Improve site processes, mobilisation, documentation and Procore utilisation

The position is based in Troisdorf/Köln. You will report to the Director Projects & Installation Management and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Installation Management, Site Engineering, Sales and Resource Management teams. Travel of approximately 60–100 days per year is required.

You are comfortable working in a dynamic project environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a consistent and professional approach.

You also have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in project management or site management of linear construction projects
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and requirements in Germany, Benelux and other European countries
  • Experience with MS Office, SAP and project/site management tools
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Experience in high-voltage cable installation
