GL Accountant

NKT Shared Service Centre for Accounting and Financial Control in Kaunas is looking for a motivated, curious and goals oriented colleague to join our engaged and skilled General ledger team of 12+ professionals, which is part of Group Finance. What can you expect from the position:
Joining a team of skilled professionals you will have an opportunity to contribute to high-quality performance, further standardisation as well as automation of General Ledger process. The position is based in Kaunas and will be reporting to General Ledger Team Manager while closely working with local accounting. Other tasks will be:

• Oversee and process G/L transactions including but not limited to accruals and provisions, IC transactions, reconciliations, BS & PL reclasses.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
• Ensure that all assigned tasks are done efficiently and with high quality. Handle inquiries from internal customers as well as outsourcing partners in a timely manner.
• Manage asset accounting process and handle the additions, disposals, depreciation, etc..
• Oversee and handle legal compliance processes, such as: statutory reporting, corporate tax return, audits, WHT and statistical reporting.

What do we expect from candidate: 

We will be expecting that you have a degree in Accounting/ Finance or related fields. General ledger accounting from a Shared Services organization or a major company would be an advantage. Experiences include but are not limited to:

• Proficient technical accounting background with depth knowledge of full cycle accounting process.
• Analytical skills with attention to details.
• Fluent in English.
• Works well with others and can also work independently.

Salary range for this position is 2400 - 3000 Eur brutto.
