Project Cluster Manager

 

 

NKT is growing and in search of an experienced project manager who will play a crucial role in establishing our large-scale cell manufacturing plant in Karlskrona, Sweden. With innovative solutions and deep knowledge of high voltage needs and requirements, we can provide high-quality customized cable solutions to meet our customer demands.

We are now expanding our high-voltage production sites and to execute on a record high order backlog driven by growing demand for power cable systems needed for the global transition to renewable energy.

 

Growing interest in renewable energy and energy independency are key drivers in the increasing demand for power cables and it is a natural step for us to continue to develop our high-voltage power cable capacity, capabilities and technology.  To meet the extensive market demands for offshore wind energy and the interconnector projects needed to support them, we aim to double our capacity in our factory in Karlskrona by 2026. To do this, we will build a new factory at our existing facility, along with a third tower that will be the 2nd tallest building in Sweden!

As a Project Cluster Manager, you will lead other project managers both for machinery and buildings. Your role will be to coordinate and bridge the dialogue between the different project within your cluster and have the overall responsibility for cost, time and performance for the entire cluster. Key to this role is good communication skills and team building knowledge giving the cluster a common goal to success. You will be the one that report the progress for the cluster and manage resources needed to execute the projects.

 

In this role, you'll oversee ongoing investment projects in production equipment, cable machinery, and production buildings. You'll be responsible for projects ranging from 10-100 million SEK, lasting 2-4 years. Compliance with project methodology and evaluation of health, safety, and environmental parameters will be part of your role.

 

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, it will be advantageous to have experience in production/industry as well as experience leading large projects.

 

Since every solution and High Voltage cable is designed based on customer requirements, the workflow needs to be consistent yet flexible to suit the needs of developing departments while still continuing to maintain budget, plans and deadlines.

 

What you’ll bring

In order to succeed in the role of Cluster Manager, it is advantageous to have experience in production/industry. Previous experience from larger project management is needed. You should also be adept at making quick decisions, delegating tasks, and maintaining a goal-oriented approach. Strong leadership skills, empathy, and appreciation for diversity are essential.

 

Further important qualifications are:

  • Bachelor´s Master degree in Mechanical Engineering of similar, or experience within Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or similar is beneficial.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English.
  • Previous experience of economic planning, budget and cost follow up.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office and systems as ex SAP. Microsoft Project is meriting.
  • Experience from Props/ GATE Method for Project Management is beneficial.
  • Knowledge in CE-marking, machine directive and applicable standards are considered a merit, but not necessary.
