As our new Senior Financial Controller, you will play an essential role in our R&D/Technology/Global functions team, responsible for overseeing financial operations at both our Karlskrona and Cologne sites.
A Dynamic Role Blending Strategic Collaboration with Active Implementation
At NKT, we’re searching for a dynamic and enthusiastic Business Controller to join our team in Karlskrona. This role offers the unique opportunity to be a pivotal financial partner to two of our innovative R&D teams in Karlskrona and Cologne. You’ll be at the forefront of driving projects that push the boundaries of technology in the energy sector, ensuring our financial operations are robust, efficient, and aligned with our ambitious goals. Some of your key tasks include:
CAPEX Management:

Partner with project managers to develop business cases for groundbreaking projects, conduct monthly follow-ups, and manage both tangible and intangible CAPEX, including capitalization processes, asset depreciation, and necessary postings and corrections.

Oversee project management within SAP, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure om seamless internal order creation and project settlement.
Financial Closing:

Engage with key stakeholders to validate accrual journals, streamline intercompany transactions, and ensure financial accuracy.

Collaborate with R&D teams to finalize project settlements, ensuring time-writing and internal balances are aligned with project outcomes.
Forecasting & Budgeting:

Collaborate with managers at both sites to create precise CAPEX and OPEX forecasts, drive bott-up budgeting, and prepare financial presentations for key simulations and R&D initiatives.

Present financial insights and strategies for key simulations and R&D initiatives, ensuring data accuracy in BW and OneStream.
Analysis & Reporting:

Deliver strategic analysis on gross margins, CAPEX, and OPEX, providing actionable insights that influence decision-making at all levels.

Collaborate with project managers to maintain up-to-date financial data, produce monthly reports, and generate detailed R&D analysis that supports strategic planning.

To thrive in this role, you will have the autonomy to manage your projects with a strong sense of urgency. You are adept at overseeing deadlines and possess proven skills in managing stakeholders. You naturally cultivate and sustain meaningful relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization, both within and outside the finance department, to effectively communicate and clarify financial information. Your CV includes:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

3-5 years of experience in finance or business controlling, preferably in an international environment.

Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

A collaborative, business-minded approach, with excellent analytical and communication skills in English.

A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering results.
The role includes occasional travel to Cologne, allowing you to collaborate effectively with stakeholder, expand your professional network and deepen your understanding of our international operations.
