Testing Tender Engineer

We are looking for a Tender Engineer to coordinate and oversee testing‑related tender activities

NKT enables the green energy transition with advanced power cable technology and plays a central role as society shifts towards renewable energy. At our site in Karlskrona, we design, develop and manufacture high‑voltage power cable solutions and operate one of the world’s largest high‑voltage laboratories.

At NKT, you will join a workplace defined by learning, collaboration and innovation. You will work closely with experts in testing, engineering, planning and sales, and gain the opportunity to build a global professional network across our organization.

A key role ensuring structure, quality and feasibility in all test‑related tenders

As a Tender Engineer, you will coordinate and manage all testing‑related aspects of tenders, covering mechanical, electrical, routine and site‑acceptance tests performed both internally and at external test sites. You will ensure technical feasibility, accurate cost calculations, clear risk identification, and proper resource and investment planning.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate all testing‑related components of tenders for both internal and external test sites.
  • Ensure each tender includes key elements such as technical feasibility, cost calculations, resource needs, identified risks and potential investment requirements.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the tender portfolio, keeping it updated, traceable and identifying any gaps.
  • Prepare and submit reviewed tenders to relevant stakeholders and secure required management approvals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tender‑related communication across Testing, Tender Engineering, Planning and Sales.
  • Lead the Tender Forum for management, ensuring visibility on tender status, risks, support needs and scenario‑coded timelines.

In addition to the above, you will work closely with other tender resources within Testing to ensure alignment and efficiency. You will integrate tender data into scenario planning and project timelines, support FTE budgeting and capacity planning, and represent Testing in the IBP process.

You will also take responsibility for identifying when investment activities need to be triggered following order wins and ensuring proper escalation. Continuous process development is an essential part of the role, including maintaining structured documentation and continuously improving tender workflows and traceability.

You also have:

  • Good technical understanding, gained through engineering education or relevant experience
  • Experience from coordinating technical processes, project work or tender‑related activities
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • A collaborative mindset
