Job Description

Anticipate operational risks across production and testing

Would you like to help NKT recognise operational risks before they affect production, testing or delivery capability? As Operational Risk Analytics Specialist, you will combine internal operational signals with external developments to create risk forecasts and practical mitigation recommendations. The role offers broad contact across Operations Karlskrona and an opportunity to support resilient cable production for the green transition.

Convert risk signals into resilient operational planning

Within Operation Analytics, you will identify, assess and forecast risks across production, testing, supply chain, workforce planning and equipment. Your work will connect operational information with developments in geopolitics, energy markets, industrial policy and regional labour markets. You will prepare scenarios and decision material that help the organisation respond proactively to possible disruptions.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Identify operational risks across the full value chain
  • Produce risk forecasts covering 2–6 weeks and 12–36 months
  • Translate external trends and early signals into risk scenarios
  • Recommend risk reduction, redundancy and resilience measures
  • Deliver weekly risk indicators and quarterly risk reports

The position is based in Karlskrona, Sweden, and works closely with QHSE, Planning, Engineering and Finance. Critical risks will be communicated directly to Operations Karlskrona management. Any travel requirements will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Structured risk professional with sound operational judgement

You approach uncertainty with curiosity, objectivity and careful judgement. You are comfortable considering different perspectives and explaining complex risks in accessible language. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you can communicate relevant concerns clearly when timely action is required. You also enjoy helping colleagues understand and apply risk management methods in their daily work.

You also have:

  • Experience identifying and assessing operational risks
  • Knowledge of risk forecasting and scenario planning
  • Understanding of production, testing or supply chain operations
  • Ability to analyse external market and policy developments
  • Experience preparing risk indicators, reports and decision material

Build resilient operations for the green transition

We aim to create a workplace where people of all backgrounds are valued, supported, and able to do their best work. We are dedicated to increasing gender diversity at NKT and welcome applications from a wide range of candidates. We welcome varied backgrounds and career paths—even if you don’t meet every single requirement. We believe inclusive teams contribute to positive results and create a better everyday work environment.

You will have opportunities for career development, international collaboration and continued learning across operational risk management. By working with colleagues from Operations, QHSE, Planning, Engineering and Finance, you can broaden your understanding of industrial operations and contribute to more resilient production during NKT’s continued expansion.

As a leader, I value clear analysis that helps our teams identify capacity constraints early and make well-founded operational decisions,” says Hiring Manager, Magnus Röstlund.
