Construction Manager – Onshore
Are you a seasoned construction professional ready to take the lead on high-impact projects? We’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of major HVDC cable installation projects in the north of Scotland from planning through to completion.
As a key member of our project leadership team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating site activities, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are met, and driving project timelines forward.
Main Responsibilities:
- Planning and Execution of Civil Engineering and Cable Installation works part of the overall execution Project.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
- Liaise direct with Client representatives, attend all project meetings.
- Identify risks (including QHSE) and opportunities and conduct proactive work and decide on actions to mitigate identified risks or realise opportunities.
- Ensure that the work is performed according to Health & Safety and Environmental plans and regulations.
- Responsible for installation/service, both qualitatively and quantitatively performed in the best possible way, taking into account the required time, resource and cost frames
- Report on project performance and provide updates to senior management
Additionally you will also need to:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and CDM regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication Skills, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally have proven experience in HVDC or large-scale cable installation projects
- Preferably Degree or formal qualification (NVQ)in civil engineering/Construction Management or equivalent CSCS card and SMSTS certification (preferred).

What you will bring:
Previous proven experience from turn-key land cable installation projects including civils and cable installation scope. Preferably having outlined understanding of marine cable installations at the landfalls, as marine interconnectors will be part of project interface.
