AC Onshore Sales Manager (UK or Ireland)

NKT is a global leader in power cable technology, delivering turnkey solutions that connect energy infrastructure across Europe. We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our AC Onshore cable business in the UK and Ireland.

As Sales Manager, you’ll be the face of NKT for our UK and Irish clients, driving growth and promoting our turnkey capabilities. You’ll work closely with our commercial and tendering teams to secure key projects and build lasting client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales efforts for all UK & IE AC Onshore cable projects.
  • Support tendering stages and manage project handovers to delivery teams.
  • Promote NKT’s turnkey solutions and ensure engineering excellence in all offers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with support from NKT’s Legal Team.
  • Provide client feedback and market intelligence to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the factory in Cologne and execution teams during sales phases.

 

What you will bring

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in technical sales or project-based environments, demonstrating a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships while negotiating effectively. They should be comfortable managing multiple opportunities simultaneously and be willing to travel extensively across the UK and Ireland. A strategic mindset is essential, paired with a hands-on approach to client engagement and the development of the supply chain.

Additionally you will also need;

  • Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline or NVQ Level 3
  • Previous experience with EHV/HV cable systems
  • At least 5 years’ experience on large EHV engineering projects
