Are you a dedicated and customer-oriented business controller who would like to support a dynamic and growing business in the green transformation segment? Would you like to be part of a close knit finance team within a global service business? If so, NKT may have the ideal opportunity for you!

 
To support our continued intergration in the Applications Business Line of NKT in the United Kingdom, we are looking for a Junior Business Controller to join our Finance team in Runcorn.

 
In this role you will work close within the Finance Team delivering full month end close for the plant. 
You will be responsible for a number of tasks.  The main areas of responsibility would be:-

 

  • Supporting the Finance Director to ensure the smooth running of the financial activities.
  • Review and maintain GL accounts ensuring costs are allocated correctly
  • Prepare journal entries for review and posting
  • Inventory checks and reconciling for monthly costings
  • Ensure internal controls are adhered to and monitored, including any compliance reporting to Group Finance.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assisting in preparing business and financial analysis
  • Assisting in producing revenue monthly reports
  • Investigate and explain differences in actual vs budget / forecast
  • Provide support for AP & AR when required
  • Providing assistance in the preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Liaising with Group Finance Department
  • Providing assistance with external auditors as required
  • Undertake any other ad hoc projects assigned by the Finance Director

 

To be successful in this role you are a team player, fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have the ability to identify potential risks, and issues and work to a high standard with exceptional attention to detail.  Have an excelent knowledge of MS Excel.  You will be results orientated, productivity driven, accountability and flexibility together with strong analytical skills are a must.

 

Additionally, your CV includes:-

 

  • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience gained within manufacturing
  • Studying towards a recognised qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent would be an advantage
