Tactical Buyer (m/f/d)

Operational Procurement for Materials and Projects

Would you like to help ensure that materials and services are available at the right time and with the right quality? As a Tactical Buyer (m/f/d), you will work at the interface between Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and various business functions. In an international environment, you will support energy infrastructure projects and help ensure smooth and efficient procurement processes.

Coordinate and Optimize Procurement Processes Efficiently

In this role, you will be responsible for operational and tactical procurement activities for inventory, projects, and services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and Strategic Procurement to ensure that purchase orders, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions are aligned effectively. In addition, you will support framework agreement negotiations and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and cost structures.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Procuring materials and services for inventory and project requirements
  • Determining target inventory levels and planning in SAP
  • Managing purchasing activities based on purchase requisitions (e.g., project-related requirements)
  • Handling supplier and service provider inquiries regarding technical specifications in collaboration with the relevant departments
  • Processing purchase orders and monitoring delivery schedules
  • Supporting price, delivery, and contract negotiations
  • Maintaining procurement master data and processing invoices in SAP and XFLOW

You will be based in Troisdorf within the Grid Solutions business area. The position reports to the Manager Oil and Gas Cable Competence Center and requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

You work independently, maintain an overview even when managing multiple topics, and approach tasks with a solution-oriented mindset. You are characterized by a careful and reliable way of working as well as a constructive approach when interacting with different stakeholders. You enjoy collaboration, communicate clearly, and actively move topics forward. At the same time, you are able to prioritize effectively and stay focused in a dynamic environment.

In addition, you bring:

  • Completed commercial or technical vocational training with a standard duration of at least three years
  • More than three years of professional experience in procurement or a comparable environment
  • Experience in sourcing materials and services
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent German and very good English language skills, both written and spoken
