We support new challenges

As our material specialist, you will be responsible for providing knowledge about materials used for both the new design of cables as well as supporting and driving investigations of material-related issues concerning both products and production. Doing so, you will keep a holistic perspective on the interdependencies between materials in cable design and production and be a trusted advisor to other colleagues in the R&D organization. It means you will be the one blocking or releasing materials for future solutions. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing knowledge about materials related to processing the material within production
• Testing of new materials in production
• Testing and verification the functionality of the product
• Responsible for materials in new (end existing) designs
• Issuing technical specifications for sourcing of raw materials 
• Material strategies
• Provide support to Quality- and Production department 

Do you have what it takes? 

The person we are looking for is an analytical team player with the mindset of always solve problems. You have the skills to lead projects and to collaborate with various stakeholders, such as production, quality, design, procurement, sales, product management and more. The tasks requires the ability to perform laboratory analysis and technically approve materials and suppliers. You are supportive and feel comfortable providing technical support in material when needed.

Your requirements:

• Chemical Engineer, Bachelor/Master of Science in Materials Science or related area
• Knowledge in polymer chemistry and polymer processing
• Analytical problem solving aptitude
• Knowledge of project management
• Good knowledge of English, written and spoken
• Preferably knowledge of Czech language
