Operational Buyer

Ensuring all day-to-day procurement activities and material availability

We are looking for an operational buyer with a structured mindset and first experience within logistics, supply chain, or purchasing.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring material availability, and stock optimization based on the prevailing production rate and material needs.

You will also develop your skillset to gain Tactical Buyer competencies.

 

 Your primary tasks include

 

•   Perform operational buying activities within Business Unit ensuring a focus on cycle times and quality of customer service

•   Execute the purchase, applying eSourcing where possible, and create purchasing documentation

•   Maintain strong information flows with the Category Teams in the event of high-value or non-standard requests,

opportunities to aggregate demand, submission of operational buying data for input to strategies and plans, and issues requiring escalation

•   Support business in Sourcing activities and act as tactical buyer deputy

•   Ensure the transactional component of the procurement process is delivered and that handovers between process steps are effective and efficient

•   Create reports/provide input to fulfill legal requirements: INTRASTAT, environmental reports - packaging consumption, GUS, SENT 

 

Disciplined and process-oriented personality

You work in a structured and meticulous manner and you find it easy to see situations from a helicopter perspective.

To fit into the role, you also need to be focused yet also flexible.

You enjoy having many contact surfaces both internally and externally, and your collaboration skills and communication abilities are profound.

 

Further your cv will preferably comprise:

  • Experience with calculations, analysis and forecasting work
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Excel
  • Fluency in English
  • Ariba system knowledge is merit
  • Experience in sourcing, negotiation and contracts
