Operational Buyer - Direct Materials

Do you want to play a key role in creating a more stable, data-driven and efficient supply chain – while helping us improve how we work with our ERP system SAP, inventory and operational purchasing?
We are looking for an Operational Buyer for direct materials to join our Supply Chain function who will not only secure material availability, but also ensure master data quality, planning parameters and system usage to support optimal inventory levels, KPI performance and a high level of supply reliability.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working close to operation, but who also sees the bigger picture and continuously looks for ways to create more structure, reduce manual work and improve how we use SAP across the process.
Secure material availability through structured purchasing
In this role, you will manage daily purchasing activities to secure material availability while also contributing to continuous improvements across purchasing and the wider supply chain.
You will collaborate closely with planning, sourcing, production and suppliers to ensure a reliable material flow.
Your responsibility will also be to:
- Handle purchase orders, supplier communication and follow‑ups
- Maintain and improve procurement master data and planning parameters in SAP to support stable supply
- Monitor and optimize inventory in line with KPIs, service levels and working capital targets
- Follow up on deviations in delivery performance, pricing and invoices to support preventive ways of working
The position is located in Karlskrona, with limited travel. You report to Senior Manager Tactical & Operational Procurement.
Methodical and structured purchaser with a collaborative mindset
You enjoy working close to operations and take a structured, improvement-oriented approach to your work. With a strong interest in data and systems, you see how effective tools and processes can create greater clarity, stability and efficiency in a changing environment.
You collaborate well across functions and bring a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset to everyday challenges.
You also bring:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in operational purchasing or supply chain roles
- Experience with master data, planning parameters or material planning in SAP
- Ability to work with data and analysis in Excel
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
